Alexa Ludeman et Emily Wessel @tincanknits sont deux créatrices Canadiennes qui créent ensemble depuis 2010 des modèles à tricoter très populaires pour toute la famille. Elles publient aujourd’hui « Lazy Sunday« , une très belle collection classique toute en torsades et lignes douces qui célèbre les joies d’un existence créative et attentive aux bonheurs du quotidien.
« Les dimanches de paresse, nous ralentissons le rythme et savourons les petites beautés du quotidien. Les petits bonheurs comme la joie chaotique d’un enfant avec un nouveau pull, la lumière du soleil qui se reflète sur des torsades rebondies, et les rythmes réconfortants du monde naturel.
Ces modèles sont nouveaux, mais pas vraiment. Ce sont nos versions de modèles torsadés aussi vieux que le temps, avec des constructions simples et classiques. Ils vont aussi bien à mon grand-père qu’à moi et mes enfants. Beaucoup de choses changent au fil des ans, mais le tricot restera toujours une maille après l’autre.

« With Lazy Sunday we’re slowing down and savouring little everyday beauties. The small joys like the chaotic joy of a child with a new sweater, sunlight slanting across plump cables, and the comforting rhythms of the natural world.
These patterns are new, but not really. They are our versions of cabled motifs as old as time, with simple, classic constructions. They look as at home on my grandfather as they do on me and my kids. Many things change over the years, but knitting will always be just one stitch after another.
