Cette collection de l’hiver 2021 met en valeur les échos, explore les changements de couleur par demi-tons et joue avec des motifs répétitifs pour vous permettre de trouver votre propre rythme. Les designers ont repris le thème auditif proposé par l’équipe de PomPom pour créer des motifs qui mettent en valeur les aspects du rythme que nous voyons, comme les partitions musicales écrites mais aussi la représentation visuelle des ondes sonores. Quel que soit votre rythme, vous trouverez ici un projet d’hiver pour vous !

The knit and crochet designs in Issue 39 are inspired by rhythm! This Winter 2021 collection is packed with patterns which honour echoes, explore semitonal shifts in colour, and include repeating motifs to allow you to get into a stitching groove. We love how the designers have taken our auditory theme and created patterns which highlight the aspects of rhythm we see, such as written musical scores and the visual representation of soundwaves. No matter at what tempo you craft, there’s a winter project for you here!

Pour ce numéro sur le rythme, la direction artistique a été confiée à l’artiste, créatrice et styliste Lydia Morrow dont l’équipe de PomPom admire depuis longtemps le sens du style jazzy et que l’on retrouve également comme mannequin pour ce numéro aux côtés de Loulou Haiken.
Dans son article « Rhythms of Handiwork », Felicity (Felix) Ford explore la relation communautaire et historique entre artisanat et rythme, tandis que dans son article « A Family Song », Claudia Khan évoque avec émotion la chanson douce de la parentalité, de la coopération et du rapport temps.
Kiyomi et Sachiko Burgin partagent leur recette d’un baume fait-maison qui sera parfait pour protéger les lèvres gercées par le froid et préparer des cadeaux faits main non tricotés pour les fêtes de fin d’année 🙂

For this issue on rhythm, the artistic direction of this issue was entrusted to the artist, designer and stylist Lydia Morrow, whose sense of jazzy style the PomPom team has admired for a long time and who can also be found as a model for this issue alongside Loulou Haiken.
In the article ‘Rhythms of Handiwork’, Felicity (Felix) Ford explores the communal and historical relationship between craft and rhythm, while in her article ‘A Family Song’, Claudia Khan movingly evokes the delicate melody of parenthood, partnership and time.
Kiyomi and Sachiko Burgin share their recipe for a homemade lip balm that will be perfect for protecting chapped lips and making non-knitted handmade gifts for the holidays 🙂
Nous avons eu une nouvelle fois la chance de participer à ce beau numéro et vous pourrez découvrir le superbe cardigan crocheté « Rockmore » créé par la talentueuse Ana D en Gilliatt « caramel » (5 à 11 pelotes selon la taille). Le motif est à la fois épuré et subtilement sophistiqué et donne très envie de se mettre au crochet !

We were once again lucky enough to participate in this beautiful issue and you will be able to discover the superb crocheted cardigan « Rockmore » created by the talented Ana D in Gilliatt « caramel » (5 to 11 balls depending on the size).
