Maren Odenthal’s pretty “Moin” hat knitted in Ulysse in the autumn issue of Making Stories

This autumn, Hanna-Lisa has come up with a beautiful issue dedicated to the subject of transmission. The theme of this tenth issue, ” heirloom “, is at the very heart of Making Stories’ vocation: to make something that people will love and wear for years to come.

For this collection, the designers were inspired by family heirlooms passed down to them or cherished creations worn year after year with the same joy.

In this issue, you’ll find 11 jumpers and accessories created by Andrea Gaughan, Barbara von Stieglitz, Bernadette Hassett, Caroline Blay, Fiona Alice, Izabela Grzybek, Jennifer Brou, Julia Exner, Maren Odenthal, Susanna Kaartinen, Terri Maue and worn tenderly by Hanna-Lisa and her mum.

For this issue, designer Maren Odenthal chose Ulysse to come up with a pretty, reversible and super squishy fisherman’s rib hat! Provided in three sizes and two depths for classic/beanie or loger/slouchy style and option for knitting a one or two colors version, it’s sure to become a classic in your knitting library.

Pattern: “Moin” by Maren Odenthal (@knitterista), available in 3 sizes and published in Making Stories 10 magazine (in English)

Yarn: Ulysse (French Arles merino and Portuguese black merino, 185 m / 50g), knitted in a plain version in ” poivre blanc ” (2 to 3 balls) or in a two-tone version in ” genêt ” for the contrasting colour (1 ball) and ” argile ” for the main colour (1 to 2 balls).
