I am delighted to share with you a collaboration that is very close to my heart with the designer @ruiyamamuro.
Rui has created a beautiful collection for her first book, centered on the idea of “common thread”: the common thread that connects us all, from every stage of the yarn-making process, through the design of the patterns, right down to the hands that patiently knit them.
Through these 12 designs, she now invites us to wear our knitted pieces with pride and to elevate this precious craftsmanship to a way of life.
We’re delighted to share with you this collaboration with designer Rui Yamamuro @ruiyamamuro and the team at Amirisu @amirisushop!














She has designed the ‘Mars’ pattern for our Bérénice mohair yarn – a soft and delicate vest: two strands of different colours are knitted together to create a subtle and elegant effect.


Pattern: « Mars » by Rui Yamamuro, available in 10 sizes and published in English in the book Common Thread
Yarn: De Rerum Natura Bérénice (55% Super Kid Mohair, 25% silk, 20% organic Merino d’Arles; 210 m / 25 g) held together.
MC1: 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5, 5) skeins (pictured here in ‘avoine’)
MC2: 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5, 5) skeins (pictured here in ‘petit matin’)
The sample has been knitted holding two strands of yarn together.
Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows on 4 mm needle, with two strands of yarn knitted together.

About the designer: Since 2005, Rui Yamamuro has opened a custom wedding dress studio and has been working as a dressmaker, using the haute couture embroidery techniques she learned in Lesage, France. On the other hand, she started publishing her knitting patterns in 2023.
Living in Paris, she is passionate about designing and knitting classic and comfortable garments for modern living.
