We were fortunate enough to contribute to the new book, Assemblage vol.2, by the talented creators at Amirisu @amirisushop!
The theme of the second volume is the top-down sweater, knitted three-dimensionally. While top-down sweaters may sound simple, knitting techniques have evolved rapidly in recent years, opening up a wide variety of styles and possibilities.
For this issue, designers from around the world have created a collection of 13 unique top-down sweaters, ranging from simple designs to more intricate pieces. Experience the joy of seamless knitting and the range of designs gathered in this one inspiring volume.
Participating designers: Alice Caetano, Ayako Kataoka, Ayano Tanaka, Derako, Elena Solier Jansà, Eri Shimizu, Esti Juango, Eun Mi Ahn, Hiromi Nagasawa, Julie Weisenberger, Marie Régnier, Megumi Sawada, Saori Hirano

We were lucky enough to collaborate on this beautiful issue, and you will find two patterns made with our yarns:

« Three » sweater pattern by Megumi Sawada, published in Assemblage Vol.2 (in English), available in 7 sizes, knitted in Ulysse “aubépine” et “potimarron”
Megumi Sawada @megswd ‘s Three pattern in Ulysse is a raglan sleeve sweater inspired by the traditional Japanese Sankuzushi pattern, a geometric motif composed of three straight lines arranged like cobblestones that is often used in sashiko embroidery.
The combination of two colors and the slight undulations of the lines create beautiful depth and a refined texture. Megumi chose the warm, vibrant shades of “aubépine” (MC) and “potimarron” (CC) for this piece.
This is a raglan pullover worked from the top down. The neckline is worked in ribbing and shaped with short rows to create a higher back neck. Increases are worked along the raglan lines to the underarm, then the body and sleeves are separated. The body is worked straight to the hem. Finally, the sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round.
To knit this sweater, you will need:
De Rerum Natura Ulysse (100% mérinos d’Arles and black merino from Portugal ; 250 m (202 yd)/100g):
MC: 4 (5, 5, 6) (7, 8, 8) balls or approx. 765 (850, 970, 1070) (1310, 1485, 1615) yards, 700 (780, 890, 980) (1200, 1360, 1480) m

« Olerki» pattern by Esti Juango, published in Assemblage Vol.2 (in English), available in 10 sizes, knitted in Pénélope “prune”
The second sweater in this collection made with our yarns is the “Olerki” sweater created by Esti Juango @ileradebu in Penelope. It is a delicate design that explores motifs reminiscent of branches and trees on the rounded yoke, intertwined with bobbles that evoke snowballs. Olerki means “poem” in Basque. The worsted “Penelope” yarn particularly highlights each stitch of the pattern and adds a sophisticated touch that is enhanced by the choice of the “prune” color.
The sweater has a seamless yoke construction and is worked from top to bottom. Once the yoke is knitted, the body and then the sleeves are worked separately. The sleeves can be worked using the magic loop method, or using DPNs. Optional short rows are worked to raise the back if preferred.
To knit this sweater, you will need:
De Rerum Natura Pénélope (90 % organic Merinos d’Arles (France) / 10 % mulberry silk (China) / 145 yds (133 m) / 50 g):
