We’re delighted to share with you the new ‘Mimizan’ pattern that designer Marianne Munier has created with our Antigone linen yarn to get ready for summer! A pretty top full of lightness and fantasy that invites us to play with Antigone’s palette!

CONSTRUCTION
‘Mimizan’ is knitted seamlessly from the neckline (shaped using German short rows), with raglan armholes and a very pretty lace pattern on the lower body.
For this part, the stitches are picked up after the ribbing before the lace is knitted, creating an interesting layering effect. You can opt for a two-tone version with a little reminder at the neckline and at the bottom of the sleeves, or a more sober monochrome version.
The top-to-bottom construction makes it easy to adjust the height of the lower body and sleeves to your preference, or imagine a long-sleeved version with a few decreases before the cuffs.

TECHNIQUES USED AND SKILL LEVEL
This pattern is at an intermediate level, with a number of technical elements such as German short rows, picking-up stitches and lace.
The construction of the pattern itself is fairly simple, with regular increases for the raglan armholes and the pattern is mainly worked using stockinette stitch. The lace pattern is spectacular but relatively simple to knit.

This version is knitted in a size 38 with 13 cm of positive ease at the chest and the lower body is slightly shortened by 3 cm from the armholes, in the colours ‘lilas’ and ‘biscuit’.
