Knits from the LYS: A Collection by Espace Tricot captures everything we love about our local yarn stores. Exciting patterns, yarns both familiar and new, and helpful tips on getting the best results. For over 10 years, Espace Tricot @espacetricot (a local yarn store located at the heart of Monkland Village in Montreal, Canada, which has been distributing our yarns for many years) has been serving a creative, artistic and multicultural community which directly inspired this collaborative collection.
Collaborating with Laine publishing @laine_magazine, designers and shop owners Stephanie Earp and Naomi Endicott have assembled a range of patterns that offer something for every knitter. The 15 knits feature a variety of constructions, difficulty levels and techniques, in an exciting explosion of colours and textures! Challenge yourself or stay in your comfort zone — it is up to you!
The book includes designs from the following designers: Stephanie Earp & Naomi Endicott (designs and creative direction), Carolyn Bloom, Olesia Lewyckyj Jarymowycz, Jocelyne Malric, Mona Schmidt, Andie Schmidt and Dianna Walla.
Stephanie Earp et Naomi Endicott used our yarns Ulysse, Gilliatt and Cyrano with other yarns to design:
- the Katabatic wrap (in Gilliatt “fusain”)
- the Beachcomber shawl (in Ulysse “genêt” and “crème anglaise”)
- the Aurora cardigan (in Cyrano “cyprès”)
- the Broderie skirt (in Gilliatt “merlot” and “fusain”).
You can find the details of each pattern and the yarns used on the Ravelry page here.
