“Aulan” by Marianne Munier

I’m happy to share with you the new pattern that Marianne @mar.gue.nee is releasing today: “Aulan” is a beautiful cardigan with a classic, easy-to-wear silhouette and a very pretty, plant-inspired, slipped knit pattern on the front and back.

“Aulan” is knitted seamlessly from the neckline with raglan armholes. The explanations are well detailed and accompanied by complete diagrams for the half-fronts to allow as many people as possible to embark on this project with confidence.

Marianne has chosen our light and cosy yarn Ulysse in the colour ” baleine bleue“.

The pattern of this cardigan draws a delicate tangle of leaves with the help of slipped stitches and the relief of the reverse stitches. It is well enhanced by the puffiness and softness of Ulysse and we were keen to see the result knitted in Candide with its blend of wool and recycled cotton. The result is very interesting, slightly looser and with a more raw but soft texture: a good candidate for a mid-season version or for a cardigan worn more at work for example.

Sample knitted in Ulysse “eucalyptus”, aig 4 mm
Echantillon tricoté en Candide “nougat”, aig 4 mm

Explanations are available on Ravelry in sizes 34 to 58.
Marianne is offering all profits from this pattern to the fight against cancer.

A beautiful pattern on your needles and a nice gesture for others!
