SKILLS LEVEL: intermediate (3/5)
This stitch is relatively easy to learn and only requires you to master yarn overs and decreases.
Tips: It can be useful to place a marker between each repeat of the pattern to help you keep track of your stitches. Slide it on at the end of each repeat of the pattern.
SOME IDEAS FOR USE:
It can easily be used for light projects (cardigans, stoles, layette) and will also make a very pretty baby blanket simply edged in garter stitch or moss stitch and knitted with a wooly yarn.
TECHNICAL INFOS:
Our sample was knitted in Antigone “jardin” with 3.5 mm needles on 33 stitches and 45 rows, i.e. 3 repeats of the pattern in width + 2 selvedges knitted in jersey and 2.5 repeats in height.
This corresponds to a swatch of 22 m x 30 rows for a 10 cm x 10 cm square knitted with the same tension and a weight of approximately 0.5 g/cm2.
