It’s a comfortable piece that can be worn open or closed, depending on the temperature and your mood, and will add a touch of chic to your everyday outfits! is a V-neck cardigan featuring two types of lace patterns reminiscent of little round sweets. Embellished with a vintage-inspired lace motif and a delicate scalloped edge, it combines simplicity and elegance, adding a touch of chic to your everyday outfits. It’s a comfortable piece that can be worn open or buttoned up, depending on the temperature and your mood!
CONSTRUCTION
It is knitted from top to bottom, starting with the back, then stitches are picked up along the shoulders to knit the fronts. After shaping the armholes, the fronts and back are joined to form the body, which is knitted seamlessly. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and shaped using short rows. The sleeves are then worked in the lace pattern. The cuffs are worked in 1/1 rib and finished with a small scalloped edge.
Finally, the stitches are picked up all the way round the front panels and the neckline to create the single-ribbed border and the buttonholes. The scalloped border pattern is repeated on the final rows, echoing the work on the cuffs.

TECHNIQUES USED AND SKILL LEVEL
This pattern is of an intermediate level and requires you to be able to carry out a few specific techniques, such as knitting in the round, following a chart, lace knitting, increasing (M1R and M1L on the right side and wrong side) and decreasing (k2tog, p2tog, ssk and centered double decrease), picking up stitches and working a scalloped edge.
Charts will guide you through creating the various patterns at each stage of the project.
This is a project that will require a bit of care and experience, whilst being great fun to knit 🙂

Chest circumference: 98.5 (106) 114 (122) 130 (136) cm
